ResponsibilitiesScope of Work:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager / Electrical Estimator to join our team.
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of electrical projects for our service department, primarily focused on repair, maintenance, and upgrade projects.
This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Review client requests for electrical service and maintenance projects.
Conduct site visits to assess the scope of work, existing electrical systems, and potential challenges.
Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and other project documents to accurately estimate project costs.
Collaborate with service technicians, project managers, and other team members to gather necessary information for project estimation.
Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to develop accurate project estimates.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for client review.
Present estimates and proposals to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Negotiate project terms and pricing with clients as needed.
Maintain accurate records of project estimates, proposals, and client communications.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to electrical estimating and service department operations.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in a service department setting.
Deep understanding of electrical systems, components, and installation methods.
Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
Proficiency in Accubid or a similar estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
