$23-$25 8am-5pm HR Generalist Job Description Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law Administer and maintain all insurance benefits; working to ensure accurate and proper billing from providers.
Submit worker's comp claims and ensure authorization for treatment forms are sent timely to the occupational health facility.

Qualifications Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field a plus
Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role Certification(s):
SHRM-CP a plus Functional Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills; organizational skills and attention to detail; time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines; ability to prioritize and delegate when appropriate; act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality; thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Technology Aptitude/Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; proficient with or ability to quickly learn the company's HRIS system Language Skills:
Fluent in English/Spanish required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
