Clinical Practice Facilitates a safe and caring environment for patients and staff.
Develops processes to assess the delivery of nursing care to patients and families.

Communicates with other managers/directors regarding departmental issues.
Remains knowledgeable and supports policies and procedures.
Human Resource Development Promotes growth and development of staff.
Assures staff proficiency in unitization of all clinical systems.
Develops programs and provides support for continued professional development in nursing.
Assures staff have achieved competency to carry out their designated roles and responsibilities.
Works with HR to recruit and hire appropriate candidates.
Investigates and documents all personnel issues thoroughly, recommending and executing disciplinary action when indicated.
Facilitates collaborative relationships among disciplines/department's to ensure effective, quality patient care delivery.
Unit Specialty Maintains all unit-required credentialing (as appropriate).
Works collaboratively with Medical Staff and Hospital Administration to provide for effective utilization management.
Acts as Liaison with non-hospital entities.
Works effectively with unit team leaders.
Remains knowledgeable in specialty area.
Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department Completes other job-related duties and projects as assigned.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESAssociate complies with the following organizational requirements:
Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
Complies with established organization and department policies.
Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree required.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Indiana is preferred.
A minimum of three years job related experience including one year of leadership experience also required.
Knowledge & Skills Strong communication skills, problem-solving and analytical ability, prioritization skills.
Knowledge in the clinical skills for unit of practice.
Working Conditions Due to large scope of responsibility, there will be frequent interruptions and multiple demands.
At risk for occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.
Physical DemandsRequires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
