Inventory Control Audit Manager Goal:
To ensure overall inventory accuracy within the Distribution Center
Responsibilities:
1.
Supervise Cycle Counting:
Coordinate and oversee the cycle counting process throughout the warehouse.
Classify items (ABC items) to be counted and determine frequency of counts.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify and eliminate future discrepancies.
Validate inventory adjustments and verify counts for accuracy before approvals.
Approve or request recounts for cycle counts and address any variances.
2.
Supervise Types of Audits:
Product Shipping to OEM's/ Stores:
Ensure accurate picking and staging of products in correct lanes.
Conduct root cause analysis to address any issues.
Validate that products are shipped to the correct store.
Implement pallet consolidation and clear marking for efficient shipment.
Verify product on pallets for specific stores through visual inspection or scanning.
Report results with metrics showing error percentage.
DTC (Direct-to-Customer) Orders:
Ensure shipping accuracy for DTC orders.
Monitor order fulfillment, packing, and correct box selection.
Prevent shipping of empty or oversized packages.
Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, such as incorrect items or ship methods.
Record and report results, including the percentage of errors.
Box Dimension Accuracy:
Confirm the correctness of input by the merchant.
Ensure correct box sizes are populated in the system, giving priority to Y boxes.
Monitor packers to minimize shipping air and optimize packaging.
Item Dimensions:
Validate item dimensions and audit physical attributes (length, width, height, weight, volume).
Defining Items to Container Types:
Classify items as Ship Alone, Repack, D-Case, or Freight.
Inbound Receipts & Put-away:
Validate received products against purchase orders.
Ensure accurate quantities and proper location for put-away.
Replenishments:
Validate quantity and location of replenished items.
Vendor Shipments:
Validate packing slips, quantities, purchase orders, and check for any damages.
Empty Locations Validation:
Ensure empty locations are indeed vacant.
Root Causing/Problem Solving:
Investigate and analyze alias issues and receipts.
Report and track results.
Record data for time studies to improve productivity.
Identify, document, and resolve discrepancies.
Report discrepancies and suggest preventive measures.
Consult with managers and supervisors regarding inventory issues.
Recording and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of issues and results.
Requirements:
