Summary:
The Purchasing/Receiving Associate position is responsible for managing and handling vendor parts sales and ordering parts to fill customer orders.
This position will be responsible for completing requests of vendors in a timely manner.
Additionally, this position will have the responsibility of maintaining adequate inventory control system.
Pay will be based upon experience.
Position Objectives:
Purchase, track, and receive all parts for builds and shop supplies Fill orders for production workers promptly and efficiently Update and utilize Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure accurate parts ordering Communicate parts shortages/substitution made on BOM's to Production Manager Answer parts calls and process orders Make accurate data inputs in systems for total accountability of all assets.
Fishbowl experience/knowledge is a plus Communicate with Production Manager when stocked part levels get low Fill and document part requests for major customer work orders Inspect all incoming products and/or materials, for damage, defects or shortages then perform the necessary corrective actions Ensure inventory area is organized and neatly maintained Perform physical inventories as instructed and cycle counts bi monthly Ensure security and safety of inventory Notify production manager of any defective or misidentified parts and cores for corrective action - Forklift certification a plus Will be required to assist in monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual inventory Actively seek and obtain a thorough knowledge of parts, merchandise and bus services.
- Be able to communicate inventory needs in order to adequately meet demands while maintaining good inventory turn ratios Responsible for keeping your work station and office clean and orderly at all times Adhere to the required work schedule Adhere to all company policies and procedures May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate Job Requirements:
Candidate must be a high school graduate or have a GED and minimum of 5 years automotive, bus, or recreational parts procurement experience.
Candidate must have the friendly, upbeat personality to develop and maintain relationships.
Candidate must have exceptional communication skills.
The candidate will represent the company in a professional and courteous manner and keep a positive attitude.
Candidate should be proficient with computers in order to input data into a computer system.
Fishbowl Manufacturing experience is a plus.
Candidate should have strong organizational and time-management skills.
Candidate may be required to take a behavioral aptitude test to assess their qualifications for this position.
Position requires physical demands to successfully perform the essential functions of this job to include:
standing or sitting for long periods, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
The position may be exposed to some risk and noise level.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
