Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented logistics coordinator to join our team, responsible for effective communication between customers and drivers to ensure the seamless coordination of our inventory operations.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent multitasking skills, navigation proficiency, and a strong commitment to maintaining clear communication channels.
Responsibilities:
Customer Communication:
Interface with customers to understand inventory requirements, delivery timelines, and specific needs.
Driver Communication:
Effectively communicate with drivers to relay customer requirements, delivery expectations, and any relevant details for successful transportation.
Navigation and Logistics:
Navigate efficiently to facilitate the movement of hot or unique one-off inventory, ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place for successful transport.
Memory and Recall:
Maintain a detailed understanding of past moves, drivers' strengths, and areas where they excel, leveraging this knowledge for optimized inventory management.
Scheduling and Prioritization:
Coordinate inventory movements based on delivery deadlines, prioritize hot loads, and ensure units are delivered promptly to meet customer requirements.
Assertive Communication:
Be assertive and effective in communication with drivers, especially for time-sensitive deliveries, to ensure adherence to deliver-by dates.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in customer service or related fields.
Customer service and coordinating experience would be a plus.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise between customers and drivers.
Strong multitasking abilities with proficiency in navigating the US for efficient inventory movements.
Detail-oriented and capable of recalling past moves, drivers, and specific requirements for optimized inventory coordination.
Assertive communication skills, especially in time-sensitive situations.
