Our client, located in Elkhart, is looking for a Quality Control Technician-Finished Material to test and inspect products at various stages of production. Compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of existing and new products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSINBILITIES:
Inspects and tests products and materials for compliance to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
Sets up and performs destructive and non-destructive tests on parts to measure dimensions and material characteristics.
Uses statistical quality control procedures to determine process performance.
Writes reports to document test and inspection findings.
Participates on multi-disciplinary teams for product quality planning.
Performs other duties that may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), computer skills and gauge experience helpful.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Communication:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures.
Ability to write reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and employees.

Technical:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to use inspection, test, and measurement equipment.

PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:
Frequently required walking and reaching with hands and arms.
Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
