Career Transition, LLC is recruiting for a Global Supply Chain Manager for a client in Elkhart, IN. The client is the world?s leading providing in their industry to the aerospace, defense, specialty and vehicle industries. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
Responsibility: Supply Chain Management at locations in USA (Elkhart, IN), China and UK
Summary:
The Global Supply Chain Manager reports to the Director of Operations. The individual is responsible for all aspects of the Supply Chain Management organization providing leadership and management of the procurement and supply chain management functions for the company. Scope of leadership includes the planning and execution activities associated with related business processes, systems development and utilization, purchased cost estimating and spend management, source selection and contracting, strategic partnering, supplier development and relationship management, compliance/governance and program execution.
Responsibilities:
Ensures effective supply chain management systems and processes are developed, implemented and continually improved
Provides for selection, training, development, succession and performance evaluation of SCM team and its members
Works intimately with site leadership and teams to improve business performance in supply chain management and related areas
Supports customers in a timely and professional manner
Leads in the selection, evaluation, development and management of suppliers
Determines and publishes supply chain key metrics
Provides supply chain policy guidance, evaluation and direction to staff including the development of supply chain policies and procedures
Promotes information technology solutions and identifies technology opportunities to improve supply chain management and related processes
Investigates current supply chain trends and solutions and implements where appropriate
Leads commodity management and supplier development processes and teams
Ensures processes for supply chain management result in the highest level of internal and external customer satisfaction
Manages key external and internal supply chain elements supporting inventory management goals
Promotes and demonstrates the guiding principles, mission, vision and values of the company
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, related area or equivalent experience. Masters degree preferred
Eight years procurement or related experience including significant experience in a leadership role, commodity management and supplier development desirable
Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, written and verbal skills
Experience in multi-site, multi-ountry organizational structure
Experience with supply chain management in APAC region desirable
Experience in the growth and professional development of people
Ability to lead in a matrix organization
ERP system knowledge, expertise and utilization
Negotiation skills
Understanding and application of lean manufacturing and supply chain concepts
ISM or APICS certification desirable
Familiarity with stamped metal and injection molded plastics, and related materials and finishing processes essential


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
