Vehicle Description This 1940 Ford Deluxe convertible has received a very detailed restoration and is overall in excellent condition.
Looking under the hood, you will find the Ford 221 Cu In flathead V8 that is backed by the 3 speed manual transmission that Ford dubbed finger-tip shift.
You will also start to see some of the careful attention to detail that was put into the restoration.
Some of those details are the correct wires with the fabric coverings, the Ford script positive battery cable end, Ford script radiator hoses, factory style stickers, and the period style spark plug wires.
In 1940, Ford made a couple upgrades to the Deluxe line that increased the drivability and reliability, which included a front torsion bar, larger drum brakes, and a larger 6 volt generator.
