Or, how about the car that we fell in love with but hesitated just a little too long to buy.
And when we realize our error in judgment, it begins a long search for something of the same quality which usually ends with a list of lackluster replacements.
At Precious Metal Classic Car Sales, one of our specialties is finding the high quality, rare cars of your youth in prime, low-mileage, and great condition.
We pride ourselves in simply allowing you to just turn the key and enjoy your dream car when it arrives.
Our latest spectacular find is this unique 38.
600 mile 1991 Camaro Z28.
All we can say is that this car was ordered right and then tastefully modified to give that little bit of additional horse power and curb appeal that all car lovers want.
Start off with the optional 5.
7 liter 350 CID making 245 HP and 345 Lb.
of torque and now you had the same engine that 91 Corvette had.
Add in a Paxton SN2000 Supercharger running a mild 4 pounds of boost, to this already stout for its day small block V8 and you just notched up the performance considerably while not reducing your reliability.
Put all this together and you've now come up with the perfect recipe that will make this 3rd generation Z28 something you can enjoy for years to come.
Assembled in Van Nuys, California this pristine 1991 Camaro Z28 is one of the nicest third generation F-body survivors we've ever featured.
It's original GM medium red metallic basecoat/clearcoat paint looks showroom new in every way and is an excellent example of just how surprisingly good GM was back in 1991.
Naturally, since the car has been stored indoors all its life, rarely driven, and likely has not seen any rain at all, its bodywork presents as new in every way.
The all original body panels display factory correct fit and finish which is actually quite good, and the cars infamous 'mile long' doors are rattle-free and close with ease.
By the time this Z28 hit the production line, GM was abandoning its practice of flashy decals and matured their creation into a great looking sports car which could speak for itself.
Up front, a showroom fresh plastic bumper props a clean F3 Camaro emblem between four clear headlights which are recessed into the prior owner's choice of gloss black buckets.
Below those headlights, a rectangular grille centers bright fog lights between, clear parking lights which feature cool dynamic lenses.
On top of the hood, body-matched louvers flow toward pristine factory glass.
The sides of the car carry a clean, monochromatic appearance which features black flip up door handles, body-matched sport mirrors, arrow straight belt trim, and sculpted rocker extensions with silver Z28 decals as its only extraneous bits.
And out back, a tall rear decklid spoiler hangs above a blacked out rear valence, factory fresh tri-color tail lights and a simple rear bumper which is branded with a third silver Z28 emblem and the words 5.
7 Tuned Port Injection.
Fortunately, the person who ordered this slick F3 knew exactly what he was doing when it came to selecting a good powertrain.
In 1991, Chevrolet gave you a myriad of choices in the Camaro, ranging from a wheezing 140 horsepower V6 to their top of the line 350 found in this Z28.
And with its snappy acceleration and broad top end, this engine helped establish the Z28 as the undisputed king of the pony cars.
Add in the very quiet - Paxton SN2000 Supercharger - not to mention its very clean installation, and you've got the perfect sleeper to match the performance of most of today's cars.
At Precious Metal Classic Car Sales, we never forget the exhaust.
This Z28 is complimented from its stock dual cat back exhaust featuring a Flowmaster muffler that gives that subtle rumble that we all love.
The bottom line of this stealthy Z28, is a well-preserved time capsule which is topped off with the Weld Racing rims mated with Toyo Proxes rubber and you've got a force to be reckoned with!.
